ASTM A333 covers wall seamless and welded carbon and alloy steel pipe intended for use at low temperatures. The pipe shall be made by the seamless or welding process with the addition of no filler metal in the welding operation. All seamless and welded pipes shall be treated to control their microstructure. Tensile tests, impact tests, hydrostatic tests, and nondestructive electric tests shall be made in accordance to specified requirements.
Keywords:
1.1 This specification covers nominal (average) wall seamless and welded carbon and alloy steel pipe intended for use at low temperatures. Several grades of ferritic steel are included as listed in Table 1. Some product sizes may not be available under this specification because heavier wall thicknesses have an adverse affect on low-temperature impact properties.
1.2 Supplementary Requirement S1 of an optional nature is provided. This shall apply only when specified by the purchaser.
1.3 The values stated in either inch-pound units or SI units are to be regarded separately as standard. Within the text, the SI units are shown in brackets. The values stated in each system are not exact equivalents; therefore, each system must be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in nonconformance with the specification. The inch-pound units shall apply unless the “M” designation of this specification is specified in the order.
Note 1: The dimensionless designator NPS (nominal pipe size) has been substituted in this standard for such traditional terms as “nominal diameter”, “size”, and “nominal size”.

High Chromium Cast Iron Bimetal Cladding Pipe

High Chromium Cast Iron Bimetal Cladding Pipe, High Chromium Cast Iron pipe, Bimetal Cladding Pipe We are manufacturer of High Chromium Cast Iron Bimetal Cladding Pipe and supply high quality High Chromium Cast Iron Bimetal Cladding Pipe in both large and small quantities worldwide and offer you the best prices in the market. These Steel-high chromium cast iron bimetal cladding pipe is a new type of abrasion proof piping developed by our company. Outer of straight pipe is common steel pepe, cladding realized by forming high chromium lining via centrifugal forming technique. Outer of bend uses hot-bending bend and lining is cast with high-chromium cast iron. Compared with traditional wear-resistant alloy cast iron, wear-resistant alloy cast steel, general cladding steel pipe and cast stone pipe. 1. Good wear-resistance, giving full play to wear-resistance of high chromium cast iron. 2. Withstanding high pressure: It can be used for any pressure rating. Close bonding of outer and lining ...

Carbon steel pipe conveying medium and can prolong the service life of ceramic lining

Carbon steel pipe material is widely used in various industries such as petroleum, chemical, mechanical, metallurgy, food and so on. Carbon steel pipe can withstand high pressure, can resist high temperature, used for transporting steam, compressed air, inert gas body, gas, natural gas, hydrogen, oxygen, acetylene, ammonia, liquid ammonia, water, oil and other media. Since the carbon steel has a certain corrosion resistance, so carbon steel pipe can be used to transport at room temperature alkali solution and corrosion medium "after heat treatment to eliminate welding stress force, carbon steel pipe can also be used to transport the caustic]. The carbon steel pipe can also be used for conveying other corrosive media, such as the lining of the corrosion resistant coating, or the corrosion resistant material lining, such as lead and rubber. 2 low alloy steel tube Low alloy steel pipe is generally made of pearlite heat resistant steel, which is characterized by high strength and heat...

Properties of the Ceramic-lined Steel Composite Pipes

Ceramic (Corundum: a-Al2O3) lined abrasion resistant straight pipe and fittings are lined with highly abrasion resistant ceramic by SHS -------Self-propagating High-temperature Synthetic process. Ceramic-lined Steel Composite Pipes Physical Properties Microstructure of ceramic layer Section of the composite pipe Mechanical Propertie: Hoop Strength: Hoop strength is the resistance against radial pressure. The strength of the ceramic -lined steel composite pipe is 300 to 500MPa. Compression-Shear Strength: Compression-shear strength is the bonding strength at the interface between the ceramic layer and the steel pipe. The compression-shear strength of the ceramic-lined composite pipe is 15 to 20MPa. Resistance to Mechanical Shock The ceramic layer does not crack or flake off when the composite pipe receives a mechanical shock. Resistance to Thermal Shock The ceramic layer does not crack or flake off when heated to 800℃ and then quenched. Resistance to Abrasion: The ceramic-lined steel co...
