Applications

Steel pipe are ubiquitous and can be found underground and within residential walls, laboratories, and commercial and industrial structures. Seamless steel pipe transport fluids including water, natural gas, waste and air. Three manufacturing methods exist to produce steel pipes.

Seamless steel pipes are produced using an extrusion mold. Welded steel pipes are produced by rolling a sheet of steel into a tube and welding the seam. Seamless steel pipes are less expensive. The third method is casting. Molten steel is poured into a casting mold.
Our steel pipes and tubes are the preferred choice for processes under the following conditions:
- high temperatures
- aggressive media (e.g. acid and lye)
- and/or high pressure
which call for the use of high-quality materials.

  Cryogenic piping refers to systems that are used in a wide range of industrial applications that require extremely low temperatures, generally around -300°F (150°C) or lower. Due to such low temperatures, cryogenic pipes face unique corrosion and deterioration challenges. Cyrogenic piping is also referred to as cold piping. Furthermore, its diamond-like hardness, fine grain structure and superior mechanical strength are the unique features that make it a wide range of demanding applications, such as coal preparation, power generation, iron and steelmaking, cement, asphalt, dredging, mining and mineral processing, oil and gas drilling. Metals have good ductility but poor resistance to abrasion - which means that abrasion prevention is required when metal pipes are used in high-temperature fluid catalyst service.
